C2E Law was founded in 2020 by Kareena Prescott with a clear mission: to provide specialist, commercially focused legal and commercial law advice to the recruitment and umbrella sectors — sectors that had long been underserved by generalist law firms.
After eight years at a top-10 law firm, Kareena recognised that businesses in the recruitment space needed more than legal expertise — they needed advisers who truly understood their commercial environment, their regulatory pressures, and the speed at which they need to make decisions.
Today, C2E Law serves recruiters, umbrella companies, contractors, and respondent businesses across the UK, providing no-nonsense advice that actually helps them grow and stay compliant.

2000–2012

Kareena Prescott hones her expertise in employment and commercial law at leading UK law firms, including eight years at a top-10 practice — developing deep sector knowledge in the recruitment and umbrella markets.
2012–2020
Senior Advisory Experience
Building a track record of over 200 tribunal representations and numerous HMRC investigations, becoming a recognised specialist in IR35, CIS, and employment compliance for the staffing sector.
2020
C2E Law Founded
Connect2Eden Limited t/a C2E Law is established, bringing specialist employment and tax counsel directly to the recruitment and umbrella sectors with a commitment to commercial, no-nonsense advice.
2021–2023
IR35 Reform & Growth
C2E Law supports clients through the landmark IR35 off-payroll working reforms, growing its client base and launching the IR35 Assured and CIS Assured advisory services.
